Obituary for Marilyn Overby (Deaver) of Wendell, NC
September 7, 1939 – August 29, 2018  

Marilyn Overby Deaver, 78, died Wednesday. She was born in Johnston County to the late Lawrence Chester & Jessie Turner Overby. 

She graduated from NC State with a BS in Botany & Master's in Science Education. 

She was a loving wife and mother who touched the hearts of many people with her warmth, her caring, and her smile. 

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Pete Graham Deaver of the home, sons, Peter Duane Deaver (Karen) of Huston, TX, Timothy Kurt Deaver (Kolab) of Frederick, MD, sister, Sarah Elizabeth Pierpoint (Robert), 5 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
