Obituary for Etta Jane Batts (Lewis) of Spring Hope, NC

Etta Jane Lewis, 67, of Spring Hope, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, in Chapel Hill. 

Etta was the daughter of the late William Batts and Mary Lloyd Manard. She was raised in Raleigh, a graduate of Needham Broughton High School, Campbell College and Pitt Tech. A retired accountant, she was also a doll maker and accomplished needlepoint enthusiast. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed and remembered.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Robert Lewis of their home in Spring Hope. Etta was the mother of Hector Neal Lewis, grandmother of Meggan Gold Lewis and mother-in-law of Sharron Skipper Lewis, all of Spring Hope.
