Colon Harvey Rowe Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida
November 11, 1939 - May 2, 2025
Colon Harvey Rowe Jr., 85, passed away on May 2, 2025.
Born November 11, 1939 in Raleigh, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce; as well as daughter Leah Wehinger (Joe); son Noel Rowe (Susan); and step-daughters Kristine Seawell (Mark); and Carmen Corbin (James).
He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Susan Wilson (Bret); Jennifer Jackson (CJ); Phoebe Rowe; Camille Corbin, Sonia Corbin, Eli Seawell, and Liam Seawell; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanelle Baker Rowe.
Colon graduated from the UNC-CH in 1961 and remained a proud Tar Heel his entire life. A man of strong faith who loved his country, Colon proudly served in the US Army.
An avid golfer, worldwide traveler and dedicated volunteer, Colon lived an active life full of love, family, and far-flung adventures. He loved nothing more than watching his beloved Tar Heels beat Duke and could make a good dad joke funny even though he'd already told it to you at least twenty times. A celebration of life will be held later this summer.
