Mrs. Betty Garris Hinson, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Georgia

Mrs. Hinson was born July 18, 1938, in Goldsboro, NC to the late George and Carrie Mae Garris. She graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh where she also attended business school. She retired from Volvo Heavy Truck Corporation in Greensboro, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackson O. Hinson, Jr., her son, Jackson O. Hinson III and her parents. 

Survivors include her son, Jon R. Hinson and his wife Mary of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Janet Richardson and her husband Jay of Cumming, GA; granddaughter, Josie; her sister, Linda Allphin of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Mrs. Jeanette Bailiff of Somerset, KY.
