Lelia Midyette Gainey, 62, of Jamestown, died Saturday, July 6, 2002.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary G. Iddings of Greensboro; two sons, Paul V. Gainey of Wake Forest and William M. Gainey of Plantation,Fla.; a sister, Mary M. McAuslan of Norlina; a brother, Garland E. Midyette Jr. of Manson; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Katherine A. Iddings.
