Charles was a faithful member of Caraleigh Baptist Church his entire life. He served in many capacities and was Deacon Chairman at the time of his passing. He enjoyed helping others and his caring spirit will endure.

Charles graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1957. He then pursued a career in the printing industry initially working with Edwards and Broughton Printing, and eventually finding a home with PBM Graphics where he retired at age 72 after 27 years of loyal service. He was enticed out of retirement at age 75 to work with The Millennium Print Group, retiring again at age 77. His work ethic was to be admired and his reputation for fairness and quality were hallmarks of his career. Most of all, Charles greatly treasured the friendships of all of his work teammates.

In Charles’ younger years, he played Little League Baseball at the ball field located on the Dorothea Dix Property. He was the only Little League player to make the “All Star Team” four years straight.

Charles’ happiest times were with his family. Their annual beach trips are legendary with many rounds of golf and good food. Laughter and Love were always the main ingredients.
